A delegation from Udmurtia arrived in Abkhazia
At the invitation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia, on April 9, a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and journalists of the leading media of the Udmurt Republic visited Abkhazia. The purpose of their visit is to get acquainted with the economic and tourist potential of Abkhazia with subsequent coverage of the life of the republic in the editions of Udmurtia.
Today, the guests met with President of the Republic of Abnkhazia-Raul Khajimba. The meeting was organized by President of CCI of RA Gennady Gagulia, who accompanied the delegation during their visit to the head of state.
The meeting discussed issues of the relationship between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, the political and economic situation, as well as issues related to the development of tourism in the Republic of Abkhazia.
The President told journalists about the developed two-year program of tourism in the country. He stressed that it is not easy for us to compete with such resorts as Sochi and Adler, which offer a wide range of services.
At the same time, Khajimba noted that Abkhazia ranks first among foreign countries visited by Russian tourists.
At the end of the meeting, President Khajimba reiterated the need to develop and strengthen relations with the Udmurt Republic.
Guests presented memorable gifts to the head of state.
After the meeting with the president of the delegation from Udmurtia, they met with the leadership of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism Avtandil Harzkia and Astamur Akhba, the Minister of Culture and Heritage Protection Elvira Arsalia and the Minister of Agriculture Daur Tarba.
Many issues were discussed at the meetings, including options for developing the economic and tourist potential of Abkhazia.
In the afternoon, guests from Udmurtia visited one of the largest enterprises of the republic "Wines and Beverages of Abkhazia", where they tasted the finished products.
The visit of the delegation of the Udmurt Republic will last until April 15.
