Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by its president - Gennady Gaguliya represents the Republic of Abkhazia in the international tourist exhibition "Travel Exhibition", which takes place in Budapest, Hungary. Exhibition partners are the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Association of Hungarian Travel Agencies. This year, priority is given to travel agencies organizing trips to carnivals and other entertainment events around the world. The exhibition involved 412 travel companies from 47 countries. (In 2015, 396 companies from 41 countries. Then four days the exhibition was visited by over 40 thousand people took part in it. This year, according to forecasts of the organizers expected more visitors). At this time, the largest pavilions represented Turkey, Ethiopia, South Africa, Senegal, China, Brazil, Slovenia, Greece, Indonesia, Thailand, Germany and others. At the same time, China and Brazil declared at the show as guests of honor.

Colourful Abkhaz Pavilion from the first minutes of the exhibition attracted many visitors. People with interest looked at the stands with the image maps of our country and the national flag, pictures of historical and modern life. They pleased to have tried Abkhazian wine, vodka, smoked meat and cheese, grown in different varieties of nuts Abkhazia, adzhandzhuha, dried persimmon, candy, honey and adjika. The interest aroused to different national souvenirs - decorative plates, clay pots, magnets, badges in the form of the state flag of Abkhazia. It enjoyed great popularity and a variety of printed materials - leaflets and brochures in Hungarian and English languages, calendars and magazines. And almost every visitor asked how to get to Abkhazia, and how our country is safe for tourists. Dressed in national costumes Abkhazian employee of CCI Inara Daurova, Tamila Mertshulava and Lana Basariya explained in details not only the conditions and routes how to visit our country, but also, at the request of visitors, sharing recipes and cooking of adzhandzhuha and adzhika. As it turned out, many of you know firsthand about our country. Representatives of one of the travel agencies, representing Slovenia, recalled as they rested in the Soviet era in Abkhazia - Gagra and Pitsunda. "It was a great time. The indelible impression left Lake Ritza, the mountains and the sea. And, of course, we will never forget the locals whose hospitality and warmth we are extremely surprised and pleased. We really want to you come again ", - said the Slovenes.   

Not left unattended Abkhaz Pavilion and numerous representatives of the Hungarian travel agencies, was also interested in the possibility of organizing tours to Abkhazia. In the afternoon, the Abkhaz Pavilion was visited by officers of the Russian Federation trade mission in Hungary, who warmly talked with the president of the Chamber of Commerce of RA - Gennady Gaguliya. "The fact that our pavilion is has a success was predictable. This happens to all exhibitions in which CCI is involved. The interest in Abkhazia is growing, but unfortunately, not all informed about today's life of our country. As it turned out, wishing to visit the Republic of Abkhazia are forced to use the internet and in foreign versions of any given us very little information, either in the form of scary, "- said Gennady Gaguliya. He expressed the hope that the presented in the pavilion and printed explanations of CCI employees will help people, even if not fully, but still get an idea of ​​our republic.
