Delegation of CCI of RA visited Erbil( Iraqi Kurdistan)
Over the long time the Chamber of Commerce of Abkhazia has been carrying out a great job for development and improvement of entrepreneurial activity in Abkhazia aimed at establishing and expanding trade and economic relations with foreign eastern countries. These countries support the proposal by the CCI of Abkhazia on cooperation with bit initiative.
Today one of these countries is Iraqi Kurdistan. The cooperation with Iraqi Kurdistan will enable The Republic of Abkhazia to implement many joint projects on a long term and on mutually beneficial basis.
Iraqi Kurdistan- is a Kurdish state entity within Iraq, with the status of broad autonomy. Its financial economic growth has allowed reaching a higher level of development. The Iraqi Kurdistan is currently one of the main agricultural areas of the Middle East. The level of the poverty in low and the state is financially stable.
Over the past 10 years, Kurdistan has become very attractive to invest in performing good economic platform for all kinds of exhibitions, fairs and forums.
Today, at the invitation of the Federation Chamber of Commerce of Kurdistan, the delegation of the CCI of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by president of the CCI Gennady Gaguliya pays an official visit to the capital of Kurdistan, Erbil.
On 12.07.2015 according to the scheduled program the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two sides.
The purpose of stay of the CCI of RA is to increase the turnover of Abkhazia with foreign countries, finding the investors for the implementation of joint projects and strengthen the image of the Republic of Abkhazia among Arab countries.
During the visit the delegation held a number of official meetings with the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kurdistan, government representatives of Kurdistan and with the Minister of Agriculture. The final meeting according to the official program will be with the Council General of the Russian Federation in Erbil.
The delegation will stay in Erbil until 15 July.
