Famous Abkhaz Art Critic Bocha Ajinjal
Ajinjal Bocha Midzhitovich - art critic, journalist was born in March 14, 1937 in Pokvesh, Ochamchira district. In 1965 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Sukhum State Pedagogical Institute of Gorky. He worked as a tour guide and after as a teacher of art history at the Sukhum Art School. After he began working as a research fellow of the Abkhazian state museum. As an inspector of art institutions of the Ministry of Culture of Abkhazia, as a senior correspondent of the newspaper "Apsny Kapsch" ("Red Abkhazia") he had also been working till 1975. Also as a director of the Abkhazian artistic and production workshops - Art Fund of the USSR, as a senior fellow at the department of art of the Abkhazian Institute of Humanitarian Studies of Dmitri Gulia.
Bocha Ajinjal is a member of the USSR Union of Artists of Abkhazia (1981), corresponding member of Peter's Academy of Arts and Sciences (1999), the Association of the Union of Writers of the Republic, the Union of Writers "Multinational St. Petersburg", Science Center "Petropolis", Houses national culture of St. Petersburg, the editorial board of "Apsny akazara" ("The Art of Abkhazia"). Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg of the Abkhazian society "Apsny".
He was awarded "Akhdz-Apsha" ("Honor and Glory") of the third degree of the Republic of Abkhazia (2004), the Russian Federation Medal "In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg (2003), for his services for the benefit of St. Petersburg is listed in the Annals of Glory" Golden Books of the Fatherland".
