President of Abkhazia met with the UN Development Program Coordinator Nils Scott.

He announced to the President that in 2014, the UN is ready to finance 15 million US dollars’ worth of projects in Abkhazia.

He also noted that the sum might become higher, if the Abkhaz authorities directly appeal to the donor countries of the UN and persuade them in the need for investing in Abkhazia.

Aleksandr Ankvab mentioned those social projects which can be realized thanks to UN aid.

The President offered the UN representative to see the buildings restored thanks to Russian aid.

“This is real, concrete aid,” said the President. Nils Scott noted that he will gladly do so. “I sincerely want for the UN projects to leave a real impression here,” added Aleksandr Ankvab.
