At the round table of representatives of the Hoteliers Guild at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia discussed the topic "Opportunities and Challenges of the Summer tourist Season".

"This is the second meeting of the Hoteliers Guild on which we wanted to raise questions about the problems that we face in preparing the 2017 season. The main issues that are on the agenda are infrastructure preparation, electricity, sewage problems. These problems must be raised and solved. An important issue in the upcoming season is worth visiting Russian resorts of Abkhazia. There was a serious problem on motorists.  Unfortunately, there are such cases when motorists coming to Abkhazia to have a rest, spend money and leave with good impressions stop improperly. I would like to appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the possibility of organizing a hotline and popularizing this phone so that tourists themselves can address the problem. We would also like to appeal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Republic of Abkhazia on permission for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to leave for Abkhazia.

We have already raised the issue about the measures of interaction between the hoteliers themselves, how to cope with the problem of the staff, because it's not a secret that once the summer begins, the staff immediately changes the places of permanent deployment, thereby losing the quality of work. In addition, the Hoteliers Guild is needed a web-site with a forum on which there will be a list of hotels that enter the Guild with a link to the web-site. It would be nice to add an English version of the site for foreigners that will help to civilize the tourism market in Abkhazia.

In addition, I would like to raise the issue of the visa regime, both for vacationers and for employees "- said the president of the Guild of Hoteliers Igor Zhigun.

We remind you that on June 24, 2016 on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia and the tourist firm "Dolce Vita" a Guild of Hoteliers was formed. By voting, Igor Zhigun was chosen as the president of the Hoteliers Guild, and Irina Zarkua and Vitaly Smyr as board members.
