14-17 March, a delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennady Gagulia, was on an official visit to Banja Luka, the capital of the Republic of Srpska. The delegation also included: Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba, Deputy Minister of Economy Zaur Gulia, Deputy Minister for Resorts and Tourism Astamur Akhba, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tamila Mertskhulava, Head of the Office of External relations and Investments CCI Kama Tsvizhba, Director General of Avai-Agro Ibrahim Avidzba, R major general Zakan Nanba and specialist of the department of external relations and investment CCI Arzamet Lomiya.

It is important to note that the relationships between the CCI of RA and the Republic of Srpska were established in 2013. In October 2017, at the invitation of the Abkhaz side, a delegation of 16 people visited the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by the Vice-President of the CCI of Republic of Srpska, Mr. Mihailo Vidic, and representatives of the authorities of the Republic of Srpska.

The delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia was received by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Spska Borko Durich, Vice President of the CCI of RS Mikhailo Vidic, Director of the CCI of RS Dragica Ristic, Mayor of Bielina Miko Mizic.

14 March at the CCI of the RS a meeting was held between the Abkhaz delegation and the direction of the CCI of the RS. President of the CCI of RS Borko Durich greeted the delegation and thanked for the return visit. "Our delegation was impressed by your hospitality and the sights of Abkhazia. We have no experience of economic cooperation yet, but it is all the future. I believe that the basis of our cooperation should be based on tourism. I express my gratitude for the visit and I hope that you will enjoy your stay and we will continue our cooperation, "Borko Duric said.

The President of the CCI of RA Gennady Gagulia expressed his great gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that the relations between the republics began to develop long ago. "We started with cultural events. In October 2017, a large delegation arrived, which had warm memories of their visit to Abkhazia. If you work on the principle "it's better to see once than hear 100 times," then there will undoubtedly be a good result. The CCI's main aim is to establish friendly and economic ties between the business communities of both republics. "Gagulia Gennady stressed.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Adgur Ardzinba stated that the interaction between the two CCIs has reached good results. "Our main aim is to provide the maximum possible conditions for interaction for business between our countries in the sphere of agriculture and tourism. I believe that we will reach common ground.”

Within the framework of the official visit, the Abkhaz delegation met with the Minister for Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska Predrag Gluhakovich and the Minister of Economy and Regional Development Zlatan Klokich. They discussed the issues of interaction and organization of joint projects on a long-term basis. Special attention was paid to interaction in the sphere of economy and tourism and the possibilities of long-term cooperation in this area between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republika Srpska.

Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba expressed his readiness to consider the formation of preferential products (creation of preferential productions). "An agreement has been concluded between Abkhazia and the Russian Federation on the duty-free trade regime and if we talk about a specific project, we can create a joint venture with the Republic of Srpska for woodworking, with access to the foreign market. As for agriculture, our climatic conditions contribute to the implementation of different projects, "the minister said.

15 March, the Abkhaz delegation met with the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik. He stressed that in the historical context the Republic of Abkhazia and Republika Srpska are going in the same direction. "I know that our colleagues from the CCI of Abkhazia, received  a delegation from the Republic of Srpska, and have shown themselves to be hospitable hosts. I hope that you will only have positive feedback after your trip to our republic, "Milorad Dodik said.

Gennady Gagulia greeted the President of the Republic of Srpska on behalf of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia and noted that the decision to establish cooperation between the republics was made many years ago. "We have many similar issues and we must deal them together. Republic of Srpska has impressive economic indicators.”  The president of the CCI of Abkhazia stressed.  "I have always maintained contact with the Abkhaz side. Today the distance is not an obstacle. We must make every effort to promote joint initiatives, "the President of Republic of Srpska noted.

16 March, a meeting was held in the city hall in Bijeljina. The meeting began with a short film, prepared by the City Hall, presenting its economic, tourist and investment potential. There are about 2,000 enterprises and almost 1000 labor associations in the city of Bijeljina.

16 March, a meeting of the Abkhaz delegation with the directors of the company "Boksit" was held in the city of Milichi. The company "Boksit" was founded in 1959 as a small enterprise. The company's projected net profit for 2018 is about 60 million euros. The delegation visited the wood processing plant and observed the process of manufacturing various products.
