On February 26 the agreement on cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. The document was signed by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia Gennady L. Gaguliya and Foreign Minister of Abkhazia Viacheslav Chirikba.

The issues of strengthening and widening of the cooperation, collaboration between the parties were discussed on the meeting. Both parties stressed the necessity of join work to render each other assistance in the broader framework of their powers in the implementation of different projects and initiatives in the field of cooperation for maintaining effective interaction between bodies of power and business communities.

The practice of signing agreements between the organs of a state-government and chambers of commerce exists in many countries.

At the end of the meeting both sides exchanged the presents with each other.
