The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia participated in the competition “UMNIK” held by the “Innovation Assistance Fund”
In order to develop and strengthen scientific and technical cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia took an active part in the competition “UMNIK” held by the FGBU “Innovation Assistance Fund”.
The semi-final of the competition was held on October 10 in Sukhum. Six works prepared by young contestants (from 18 to 30 years old) were presented in the finals.
The finals was held in the hall of the Academic Council of Sochi State University in October 22. The head of “Innovation Assistance Fund” A.B. Sorokin, Vice-Rector of Sochi State University D.I. Popov, the program supervisor in the Republic of Abkhazia A.A. Ovsepyan and other experts took part in it. The expert jury, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia, was composed of V.V. Delba, A.Z.Guliya, A.G. Basariya, T.A.Achba, A.V. Gaguliya., I.V. Barchyan. Advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Tsugba M. Vyacheslav was also a part of jury and made a speech at the final meeting. Speakers, organizers and members of the jury noted the high level of the presented works, their innovativeness and commercial component in the process of discussion.
According to the results of the competition, the winners were:
-1st place – Strochian P. Timur on “New devices and technologies”
-2nd place - Ketsba V.Nazim on “Resource Saving Energy”.
Three participants of the competition Neshchenko I.P., Stepanova A.A. and Schedrov E.R. took the third place.
Winners of the competition “UMNIK” will receive grants for a multistage program from 500 thousand to 20 million rubles.
