On December 13 at the invitation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Stavropol Territory, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia took part in the meeting of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of the North Caucasus Federal District, which took place in Stavropol.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, heads of Chambers of Commerce of the Stavropol Territory, the Republic of North - Ossetia-Alania, Karachay-Cherkessia, Chechnya, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Abkhazia at a meeting of the Association was represented by the President of the CCI of the RA Gennady Gaguliya and specialist of external relations and investment Lorena Adleyba.

During the meeting discussed the role of regional Chambers of Commerce in the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus, promoting the participation in the implementation of socio-economic development and improve the investment climate of their republic, expansion of foreign economic relations through joint business missions to foreign countries and regions of the Russian Federation.

The participants of the meeting noted the significant role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia in the development of trade and economic cooperation with the republics of the North Caucasus.

The program of the meeting approved the work plan of the Association of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Chambers of Commerce in 2015, one of the points which is the trade and economic mission of businessmen of the North Caucasus and Southern federal districts in the Republic of Abkhazia.

Following the meeting, were held elections of the Chair of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of the North Caucasian Federal District. Unanimous decision - Kazbek Tuganov, he was re-elected as the Chairman of the Association of the Chambers of Commerce of the North Caucasian Federal District.
