On June 16, 2012 the XII International Kursk wholesale and retail fair was solemnly opened.

      The delegation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia with the support of the Government of the Republic of Abkhazia takes part in the fair and presents products of the different enterprises of RA.

     Traditionally Kursk Korensk fair is a part of the three major fairs in Russia. In the twentieth century owing to the force of historical circumstances this tradition was interrupted; however since 2000 due to efforts of the Governor Alekandra N. Mikhailova, the abovementioned fair which represents Kursk as the southern gate of Russia was newly revived.

     The Vice - President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA Lushba A.N participated at the solemn opening ceremony of the 2012 Kursk Korensk fair and addressed the welcoming speech and thanked the organizers and the Governor of Kursk region for the active support of the Republic of Abkhazia.

   Central Federal district regions traditionally take part in the twelfth Interregional Universal Wholesale and Retail Kursk Korensk fair; Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, embassies and trade representatives of near abroad and non-CIS countries

    The food processing industry, agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses, will demonstrate the samples of their products in the halls and on open spot markets.

    The governor of Kursk region visited the pavilion of the Republic of Abkhazia, and thanked the CCI delegation for participation in the fair and expressed willingness to further strengthening of economic relations between the Kursk region and Republic of Abkhazia.
