The first tourism forum "VISIT APSNY" was opened in Sukhum
The forum was organized in order to draw the attention to the tourism industry of the Republic of Abkhazia, promote its image, establish a platform for dialogue between the main tour operators and travel agencies, search for new business partners, etc.
Within the framework of the forum, three round tables were held: "How to attract a tourist to Abkhazia.The latest trends in tourism industry.” "Logistics and mandatory insurance in Abkhazia: Pros and Cons" and "What to expect from pricing in the hotel business? ". In addition to the main topics, the modern characteristics of marketing in tourism, agro tourism etc. were discussed.
At the same time, the forum participants were able to identify the most acute problems of the tourism industry development and had an opportunity to exchange experience.
The panel discussions were attended by representatives of the Abkhaz ministries and departments, local hoteliers, restaurateurs, transport companies representatives, IT experts and companies providing services in the tourism industry.
The forum was attended by the president of the innovative development agency of the Russian Federation Elena Churina and the councilor of the minister of tourist resorts and tourism of the Republic of Crimea Elena Yurchenko, also there were representatives of major Russian travel agencies as "Biblio Globus", "Delfino", "Alian", "Solvex" and others at the panel.
As part of the forum program on March 9th and 10th, tours were organized for the guests. They were able to visit the eastern part of Abkhazia, the "Bedia" temple, the hot springs, the lake"Ritsa", the cave, the city of Gagra, etc.
Important cooperation agreements were signed with Russian colleagues during the event.
