The meeting of Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the North-Caucasus and South Federal Districts, the CCI of RA and Russian-Abkhazian Business Council.
On the 15th of November 2012 within the framework of the VI th Abkhazian-Russian Business Forum the joint meeting of the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the North-Caucasus and South Federal Districts, the CCI of RA and Russian-Abkhazian Business Council.
In the abovementioned event the following people took place:
The vice-prime minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Stranichkin A.V, trade representative of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia Aykin U.V, Director of the external relations and business council department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Padalko V.N., representatives of the Russian-Abkhazian business council chaired by Sergeev A.N, the Chairman of the North-Caucasus Federal District Tuganov K.H., who is the President of the South Federal District Association Prisiajnuk N.I , who is the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov region, as well as the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry which is part of Association of the CCI of NCFD and CCI of SFO.
The agenda included 3 issues:
The development of trade-economic relations of business communities of NCFD and SFO.
The work of business community at the stage of adaptation to the adaptation of WTO, new market opportunities and perspectives of cooperation.
Interaction with authorized on business owners rights on problematic moments in Russian-Abkhazian trade.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and |Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gaguliya G.L greeted all who were present and presented the report on the theme: Development of the trade-economic relations of business communities of NCFD and SFO with the Republic of Abkhazia.
THE IV RUSSIAN-ABKHAZ BUSINESS FORUM “RUSSIA AND ABKHAZIA: THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF INTERREGIONAL COOPERATION 2012” TAKES PLACE IN SUKHUM
The IV Russian-Abkhaz business forum "Russia and Abkhazia: the Achievements of Interregional Cooperation 2012" is taking place in Sukhum. The Forum is attended by representatives of federal and regional government, non-governmental organizations, business representatives, specialists from Abkhazia and Russia.
President Aleksandr Ankvab spoke at the plenary session, whose topic was "the Advancement of Russian-Abkhaz processes of integration, the improvement of the investment climate of Abkhazia and the improvement of the bilateral legal framework".
The Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Vladimir Chernov, conveyed the greetings from the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to the participants of the Forum.
"Your yearly Forum, uniting the representatives of federal and regional government, businessmen and specialists from Russia and Abkhazia, is a big, significant event in the lives of the two countries. The Forum is a testament to the wide public's support for the efforts towards the deepening of the multifaceted Russian-Abkhaz cooperation. The meeting's agenda includes the issues of the all-round development of Abkhazia, and the increase of its investment appeal. And of course, the task ahead of you is to establish which ones are the most promising courses for common project realization, and the establishment of productive interregional contacts. I am sure that the Forum will operate in a creative and constructive atmosphere, and that its recommendations will be translated into practice. I wish you all a fulfilling discussion and all the best," as seen in the greeting by President Putin.
The plenary session included speeches by the Vice-Prime Minister of Abkhazia, Aleksandr Stranichkin, the Ambassador of Russia in Abkhazia, Semyon Grigoriev, the Abkhaz Minister of Finance, David Iradyan, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Ilya Shestakov, the Director of the Institute of Agriculture of Abkhazia, Lesik Ayba, the Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Nikolai Novichkov, the Head of the Sukhum Administration, Alyas Labakhua, the Chairman of the Russian-Abkhaz Business Council, Andrei Sergeev, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia, Gennadiy Gaguliya.
Several bilateral documents were signed after the plenary session's conclusion: "The Agreement between the Government of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Abkhazia on trade, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation", "The Program of Joint Action in Tourism for the year 2013", "The Agreement on the Establishment of the Sister City Relations between Sukhum and Krasnodar".
