The Migration of the North Kavkaz People

11.12.2013

Some historians Restores the migration of the north Kavkaz people to the mid- nineteenth century, because of the war between the Russia Empire and the Ottoman Empire, where the Ottomans started to send their men whom called {almola} to spread the Islamic religion there, so they sent gifts to the princes of the provinces in all parts of the Kavkaz, which was under the rule of the pre-feudalism. Princes welcomed the gifts they sent back the most beautiful girls to the Ottoman sultan, who married one of them.

Ottomans stretched to the borders of the Abkhazia, which form a strong threat on the borders of the Russian Tsar who decided to put an end to that stretch, he began to prepare for an attack on the Ottomans from the Dagestan state to the Black Sea .The Ottoman Empire lost the war against Tsar and pull back its steamboats heading to Turkey.

Here where the migration of the Kavkaz began overland through Iran and oversea through ports in the Black Sea, specifically from the port of Sukhumi to the ports of Trabzon and Samsun in Turkey, the immigrants suffered a lot of difficulties, disease and famine, which led to the death of a large numbers of them and throwing them into the sea.

Ottomans took advantage the experience of the Kavkaz compat so she recruiting them to protect the Hejaz Railway, and deploying them along the railway line down to the East Gouta in Damascus {Marj Alsultan }. also some of them settled in the area of Damascus called migrants} Almyhjrien {named after them and the name still exists to the present day , but the warm atmosphere and the nature of Damascus did not fit with the people of the mountains whom accustomed to the green nature and the cold weather, they sent scouts searching for the right place , until they came to the Golan Heights and was the place due to these immigrants and soon they began to leave with the approval of the Ottoman Empire , which found it an appropriate solution to protect their lands from the Bedouin and Druze .

The Kavkaz Combined in that land and become one people, under the name charks, they have worked in agriculture and used their extensive experience in rocky land and turned it into a fertile land suitable for agriculture, they wher one unite and one hand, keeped the customs, traditions and birth control. The Circassian language spread between them and they learned the Arabic language. Immigrants settled in the Golan, tell the Israil assault so they had to leave their land again and to many cities on Damascus.

We cannot summarize the life of our grandparents with a few lines, where every generation of them suffered from war and immigration to the present day so we wish them success and stability of a trip back to their home country asking God to be the last stop.
