On the 15 of June the general meeting of the newly created Abkhazian Cultural Center was held in Sakarya City, Turkey. During the meeting Oral Bganba (Kobas) was elected as a Chairman of the Abkhazian Cultural Center. The present event is very significant for Abkhazians living in Turkey, especially for residents of Sakarya City, because the biggest diaspora lives there.

The parliament deputies were greeting guests, as well as the Chairman of the Cultural Centers Federation Ashuba Cengiz.

On the event Abkhazia was represented by: Vice-speaker of the Abkhazian parliament Harazia A., the head of State Committee for Repatriation Jopua H, the Director of Repatriation Fund Smyr D., the referent of the Turkey and Middle East Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Alshundba I., Academician of Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia, PhD in Philosophy Jopua Z., Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia Gogua S.

 «Recently relations between our two countries are rapidly developing. For the last three months the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia was visited by three delegations from Turkey.  The perspectives of cultural and political development issues were discussed during the meeting.  The agreement between CCI of Sakarya and CCI of Abkhazia was also signed recently. We are planning to strengthen our partnership and cooperation”,- said the vice-president of the CCI of RA.

The vice-president of the CCI of RA Soner Gogua congratulated the newly elected Chairman and presented him the letter of congratulations and keepsakes on behalf of the President of the CCI of Abkhazia.
