From 26 to 29 January in Slovakia, Bratislava, held the 23rd International Tourism Exhibition «ITF Slovakiatour 2017", which has become a party to the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia. The Abkhaz delegation was led by the President of the CCI of RA Gennady Gaguliya. The delegation also includes the deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Abkhazia Adgur Lushba, Advisor of the President of CCI of RA Tamila Mertskhulava, Head of External Relations and Investments Ia Gabunia, Head of the Department of Tourism  Inara Daurova and specialist of Tourism Department Amina Ratsba.

It should be noted that the participation of the Republic of Abkhazia in this exhibition should be considered as phenomenal. For the first time in a long period, a delegation of CCI of RA in international tourism fairs had no problems in the presentation of Abkhazia in the international arena.

The exhibition «ITF Slovakiatour» is one of the largest tourist exhibitions, international fairs in the field of tourism travel, not only in Slovakia but also in Europe, attracting tens of thousands of annual visitors.

The stand of Republic of Abkhazia was decorated with banners including different beautiful places of Abkhazia. It acquaints visitors with a wide range of alcohol, food, souvenirs produced in the country, and above all the printed products in the Slovak and English languages, ​​developed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA, with the aim of promoting and positioning of Abkhazia as an independent democratic Republic. "While the Georgian Foreign Office asleep lethargy, representatives of the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA took part once again in a big international exhibition"- says one of Georgia information portals "Our Abkhazia". Abkhazian stand aroused great interest among the visitors who were interested in its tourism potential. Many travel companies are interested in the data of tourist destinations and were interested in organizing tours to Abkhazia. Among the visitors were those who recalled with nostalgia the days of rest in towns and resorts of Abkhazia (Gagra and Pitsunda), and for many it has become a revelation.

As a key strategic and trade partner for Abkhazia, on the first working day of the exhibition, the Abkhazian stand was also visited by the Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Alexey Fedotov, Russian trade representative in Slovakia Ekaterina Belyakova, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Bratislava, the media, radio and local TV, and a group of businessmen from different spheres. Stand of Abkhazia drew particular attention to the organizers of this exhibition, which is visited by the general director «InchebaExpo» pavilion.

It is important to note the fact that the advertising information about Abkhazia was posted on the front page «ITF Slovakiatour 2017" directory, and information on its participation in the exhibition site http://www.incheba.sk administration, where it was noted that "for the first time at the exhibition was presented countries such as Mexico, Poland, Cuba and Abkhazia."
