On the 19th of February the openening ceremony of the 37-th international tourist exhibition Sajam Fair was held at the exhibition hall Sajam in Belgrade City, Serbia. The exhibition mentioned before promotes the broadening of international tourist business , creation of new partnership relations, attracking more and more visitors every year.

Sajam Fair is the largest tourist event in Serbia and South Europe , which this year had to unite more than 1 100 participants from the record number of countries-more than 50.

In 2003 the exhibition became a member of the European Association of Tourist Fairs. This fact brings joining to the International Association of Tourist Fairs.

The Republic of Abkhazia takes part for the first time at the abovementioned Fair , under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia , headed by the President of the CCI of RA Gennady Gaguliya.

The participation in such kind of fair gives the opportunity to give others information about the Republic of Abkhazia in all its beauty, shows the national colour, attracks tourists , but the main aim of the participation is the international recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia by the world community.

At the fair Abkhazia presented its banners with all beauties of Abkhazia , presented the booklets on tourism in Abkhazia in serbian, english and russian languages and a lot of souvenir and food production.

The Fair lasted till 22 of Februrary.
