By invitation of the Chairman of Industrialist Club of Potsdam, the delegation of the CCI of RA paid an official visit to Germany from 10 to 15 March 2014.

The delegation was headed by the President of the CCI of RA.

The Abkhazian delegation spent an exteremely  eventful business days, which started with the official meeting with the Chamber os Commerce of Germany, German entrepreneurs on investment issues in Abkhazia, opening of representations of various and world – famous companies in Abkhazia.

On the very first day of the visit, the delegation of Abkhazia was hosted in the building of the trade office by the Representative of Russian Federation in Germany Andrei Zverev. The meeting was held in cordial and firendly sarrounding. The issues on possible cooperation between the business owners of Abkhazia and Germany were discussed at the meeting. The trade representative  of Russia to Germany expressed the readiness to assist any kind of support from the side of the trade office in different issues.  During the meeting the both sides reached the understanding to organize the exhibition-presentation of the investment and tourism potential of Abkhazia for German audience. The current exhibition-presentation will start its work in April and will operate over a long period.

The CCI of RA delegation conducted meetings with Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Germany.During the visit there were reached possitive results, there were signed documents on cooperation in different areas, which gives the opprotunity and advantage for widening trade and economic contacts with entrepreneurs of Abkhazia and Germany.

The significant and portentous event in the program of a visit to Germany was the participation of the President of the CCI of RA at the conference of the Indistrials Club of Potsdam.  More than 80 business owners took part at the conference: heads of the first-rate and largest Company in the World “Porsche Center” , manager of the multistore “Porsche”, direction of the concern “ Lexus”, Expert of the Company “ Louis Vuitton”, representatives of the leading concerns in fashion and luxury product sphere (Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Fendi, Christian Dior, Bulgary), the direction of “Whiskey” Company, managers of business communities of Germany.

The organizers programme and numerous posters during all working days were announcing about the special guest of the Conference - the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gennady Gaguliya, who spoke with the report  on the subject: “Existing investment situation in Russian-Abkhazian  Black Sea Coast Region after the Olympics in Sochi”. The dicussions related to the report took more tha 40 minutes and was notable with its richness of content and competence, which tells about the high interest to the Republic of Abkhazia from the side of business representatives of Germany.

The Conference has started with the country presentation of the Republic of Abkhazia. The audience could also watch the movie about Abkhazia, and become acquainted with the booklets on tourism, agriculture and investments of Abkhazia. Guests were offered the degustation of the Abkhaz poducts such as chacha, adzhika and etc.

The presence of the Abkhazian Flag on each table at the conference-hall attracted a high interest from the side of representatives , maybe who didn’t hear about the small, but developing country  as Abkhazia with the high capabilities and potential !
