At the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of Syria Mr. Mohammed Hassan Qatana, a meeting was held with the head of the official representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia in Syria Mr. Nizar Al Jabban. The issues of mutual cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

The Minister was interested in the possibility of exporting Syrian agricultural products to Abkhazia.Mr. Qatana also stressed the need for closer development of bilateral trade and economic ties with Abkhaz entrepreneurs. He expressed interest in organizing a visit to the republic in the near future and holding a series of meetings with representatives of agricultural enterprises with the support of the CCI of RA.

Mr. Nizar Al Jabban expressed gratitude to the minister for the meeting and his interest in Abkhazia, and expressed his readiness to assist in organizing a visit to the republic.
