The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskhulava held a meeting with Mr. Amin Bakij, the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jordan.

The parties discussed the prospects for organizing events to promote the interests of Abkhazian entrepreneurs and presentation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to the meeting participants, the promotion will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations and will help strengthen ties between the business circles of the two countries.

During the conversation various issues were discussed including the implementation of the project previously created by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - "Abkhaz, visit your Homeland." The President of the Chamber expressed readiness to accept children of the representatives of the Abkhaz diaspora living in Jordan in order to get acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of their historical Homeland.

They also discussed the possibility of concluding agreements with Abkhazian transport companies and a number of hotels to receive tourists from Jordan with the support the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the assistance of the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jordan.

Summing up the meeting, Tamila Mertskhulava noted that taking into account the current situation around the world, the course of the Chamber's activities is aimed at strengthening work and expanding cooperation with the countries of the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
