The winner of the World Cup soccer, conducted by the Confederation of Independent Football Associations (ConIFA) became Abkhazia's team. In the final game Republic of Abkhazia has won the World Cup ConIFA by defeating the team of the Punjab (1: 1, on penalties - 6: 5).

Bronze winner of the tournament was the team of Northern Cyprus. In the match for third place, they beat Padania team with the score 2: 0.

World Cup ConIFA - tournament for the unrecognized states and people, minorities and regions affiliated with FIFA. The tournament was held from 28 May to 6 June 2016, in Sukhum and Gagra.

In most of the time the team played in a draw, scoring each other on one ball. The final fate of the series was decided in penalty kick. Footballers struck five times, each team has scored four goals and extra strokes brought good luck to the national team of Abkhazia. As well as throughout the tournament, goalkeeper Alexei Bondarenko played great, having beaten two penalties. Abkhazia's national team – World Champion 2016 of ConIFA.

After the final match was held the closing ceremony of the World Cup. The ceremony began with a performance of choreographic ensembles. At the end of World Cup prize winners were awarded with medals.
