From 1 to 9 of January, 2017 on vacation Abkhazia have visited more than 10 thousand people. On this and on the outcome of the New Year of tourism in the republic informed the Deputy Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Abkhazia Astamur Akhba.

He said that, in general, from the early days in 2017 in the country there is a positive dynamics of tourist flow. "Tourists are taken practically in all cities of Abkhazia. The main flow of tourists accounted for Gagra, Gudauta and Sukhum regions in the Ochamchira district operated several hotels, "- said Akhba.

He noted that many of the sights are functioning from the first days of January. "Athos Cave worked on a daily basis. From 1 to 8 January 5086 people had visited it. As for Ritsa relic national park, it is due to weather conditions and was able to operate in part. Park Management has tried to open at least one part of the reserve. As a result, it was visited by more than 2 500 people"- explained Akhba.

The Ministry of resorts and tourism of Abkhazia has repeatedly been associated with tour operators to get information about tourist review. "We were told that rest satisfied with the service maintenance, infrastructure, etc. As it turned out, the tourists had no complaints!" - said Akhba.
