From September 12 to 14, the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by its president Gennady Gaguliya, was in Berlin, Germany. The delegation also included Tamila Mertskhulava, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia and the acting head of the Department of External Relations and Investments Kama Tsvizhba.

The purpose of the visit is the opening of the official representation of the CCI of Abkhazia. The office is located in one of the most fashionable districts of the business district of Berlin. It was led by a German citizen and a great friend of Abkhazia, Mr. Wolfgang Matzke, who had previously been a representative of the Chamber, working on a voluntary basis.

The opening of the representative office was preceded by a long-term negotiation process with the state departments of the Federal Republic of Germany and the registration of the mission itself.

On the occasion of its opening, on September 13, a presentation took place in which Sergei Nikitin, the head of the Russian Federation CCI Representative Office in Germany, well-known representatives of business circles of Germany, scientists, Bundestag deputies, journalists, as well as representatives of the public who for several years maximum efforts to promote the image of the Republic of Abkhazia and the development of its international trade and economic relations. In addition, the Abkhaz delegation was supported by the authorized representative of the Asbkhazian Foreign Ministry in Germany, Hibla Amichba, who lives in Berlin.

The guests were shown a film made in the CCI of RA, which was animatedly discussed and aroused many questions. As a handout, printed products were presented in German.

After the presentation, the guests were given a buffet with a tasting of Abkhazian wine and vodka products.

On the eve of the presentation, the CCI of RA delegation organized a closed evening in Potsdam for representatives of German business circles interested in cooperation, dedicated to the presentation of the Abkhazian chacha "Achara", on the basis of which various cocktails were prepared and presented.

In the evening of September 13, the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia took part in the evening dedicated to Russian-German economic relations.

The Russian Federation is not only strategic, but also the main economic partner of the Republic of Abkhazia. The Abkhaz delegation led by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia Gennady Gaguliya was represented at the evening as VIP-guests.

Over 80 guests attended the event, who were presented with a film about Abkhazia, its economic and investment potential. The film aroused the interest of all those present, especially since German citizens who had already visited Abkhazia both during the Soviet period and after the recognition of its independence took part in the evening.

An exchange of views took place on the conduct of business by German famous manufacturers on the territory of the Russian Federation and on bilateral business relations of Russian business circles in Germany.

In the evening, Gennady Gaguliya met with the Deputy Head of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in Germany, Mr. Pavel Rubtsov.

Guests were offered printed products and a banquet was organized.
